Below, you can explore our literary units, keep up with the conversations we are having in the classroom, and enjoy some suggestions and resources to help support your learner.
*Notes on suggested reading: I am consistently asked three questions as a teacher:
1. My child says they did "nothing" at school today, what does that mean?
2. Can you suggest books for my child at home?
3. What can I do to help my child at home?
Connecting with your child can be different as they grow. Keeping up with their reading level and interests can be difficult. Reading with your child or suggesting books you loved as a child creates situations in which you can share about your reading experience together (such as watching the movie that pairs with the book) and satisfies all three of these questions. The suggested reading below IS NOT REQUIRED. These most likely won't be discussed in class, and never checked on. Enjoy at your leisure. Happy Reading!
